Commonly used with multi-plate clutches and V-8 swaps, this adapter lets you install a Wilwood or Tilton universal clutch master cylinder into your 93-95 Mazda RX-7. The stock 5/8” bore master cylinder doesn’t move enough fluid for these applications, so a 3/4” or 7/8” bore unit is installed instead.
Unlike other adapters available on the market, this one is made from thick 6061-T6 laser cut aluminum (8mm!) and aligns the master cylinder perfectly vertical. It also features pressed-in studs facing both directions, for an easy one-man installation and an ultra clean look. Includes necessary M8 flanged nuts with proper JIC spec 12mm wrench size!
The best MC combination I have tried is a Tilton 74 series with the extended length pushrod (Tilton P/N 75-031). The rod will need to be cut to length. The 5/16-24 thread is close enough to the FD clevis M8x1.0 thread that I did not have any trouble getting them to thread together.
Guaranteed to work with the following master cylinders:
Tilton:
74 Series
Wilwood:
"Combination Remote" Master Cylinders
260-3374
260-5920
260-3376 (this is the one most people use with the FD - 7/8" bore)
260-3378
260-3380
*Should* also work with the following Wilwood part numbers, as they have the same 57.2mm (2-1/4") bolt spacing, however fitment has not been tested:
